Langlois is located south of Coos Bay and north of Port Orford and Cape Blanco State Park. This small agricultural community has wonderful antique shops and tourist facilities. It is sometimes called "Little New Zealand" on account of the thousands of sheep that
forage on the hills and river valleys.
Langlois is a small town of about 400, with Floras Lake nearby, and the Post Office located in Langlois, is one of the oldest in the state of Oregon.
Langlois was historically famous for it's blue cheese until the factory burned down in the 1950's.
Sea Gulls abound throughout the coastal region
